Oskaloosa--The William Penn women's soccer team fell 7–2 to No. 19 MidAmerica Nazarene in Heart of America Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon.
 The Statesmen (2-11-1, 1-9 Heart) were outshot 18–9, with the Pioneers (10-2-1, 8-1-1 Heart) also holding a 14–6 edge in shots on goal.
 William Penn struck first in the third minute when Nemesis Leon (Fr., Pantarenas, Costa Rica, Business Management) launched a long-range shot from 30 yards out that slipped past the goalkeeper.
 MidAmerica Nazarene responded quickly, scoring two minutes later before adding another goal in the 19th minute to take control.
 Despite the early challenge, the Statesmen defense held firm through much of the first half, limiting the Pioneers to six shots while matching that total offensively.
 MNU came out firing after the break, netting four goals to extend its lead.
 William Penn found a late response in the 80th minute when Elycia Cooley (Sr., Galveston, Texas, Biology) collected a loose ball off a defender and powered it into the net.
 MidAmerica Nazarene closed the scoring with one final strike in the 90th minute.
 The Pioneers dominated possession in the second half, outshooting William Penn 12–3.
 Leon led the attack with three shots, while Cooley and India Foger (Sr., Las Vegas, Nev., Psychology) each added two.
