Recruits

The purpose of William Penn University is to provide a quality education that blends critical thinking and skilled applications to prepare tomorrow's leaders for success in a global society.

William Penn University is a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference, a conference consisting of 14 private colleges and universities within Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. William Penn sponsors 27 intercollegiate teams, many of which are nationally affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Prospective student-athletes are invited to complete our recruiting form located on each sport page under the 'Recruiting' link.

Athletic Scholarships
Scholarship amounts vary depending on each athlete's playing abilities, leadership, and potential to excel in one or more of our intercollegiate athletic sports.

Other Financial Aid
Students may receive much more than just athletic scholarships at William Penn. 98 percent of our students receive financial assistance in the form of academic, athletic, leadership, activity, and departmental scholarships and grants in addition to government loans and student employment opportunities.

Paperwork
Federal aid is available to those who qualify. You can file for federal aid online at
https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa which is the fastest and most efficient method. You can also mail in a FAFSA form which you can obtain from your high school counselor or from William Penn University.

To know what you might receive from William Penn, you must list the University to receive your FAFSA results. The recommended priority date for filing for federal financial aid is March 15. It is possible to file after this date, but it may lessen your chances to receive financial aid.

Apply To William Penn ASAP

Take the ACT/SAT Test ASAP
See your guidance counselor for scheduled test dates. Make sure you have the scores sent to the colleges/universities of your choice.

Athletic Eligibility Requirements
In order for freshman athletes to be eligible to participate in athletics during their first semester at William Penn they must meet requirements specified by the Midwest Collegiate Conference and the NAIA. Athletes must meet two out of the following three requirements:
1. Minimum ACT of 18 or SAT of 1290)
2. 2.0 GPA (final high school transcript)
3. Graduate in upper half of class

PlayNAIA
All student-athletes wishing to participate in athletics at the NAIA level must be certified as eligible by the NAIA. This is done through the PlayNAIA website

The fee for registering is $80 for domestic incoming freshmen students, $120 for transfers, and $135 for international incoming freshmen students.
