Statesmen of the Week: Tanner Muff and Olivia Lange
Oskaloosa--Shotgun sports athlete Tanner Muff (Jr., Lincoln, Neb., Public Accounting) and women's golfer Olivia Lange (Sr., Buckeburg, Germany, Business Management) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for September 29-October 6, presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.
Muff led the shotgun sports team to their fourth title of the year at the Grand View Invitational last weekend, where he earned the male High Overall Athlete award. His impressive performance included a combined score of 334-for-350, with standout results: tying for first in Super Sporting at 46-for-50, placing third with a 94-for-100 in Sporting Clays, tying for seventh with a 97-for-100 in Skeet, and tying for eighth with a 97-for-100 in Trap.
Lange was equally dominant on the golf course, finishing first out of 35 golfers at the Bill Johnson Memorial, where William Penn secured the team title. Lange posted a total score of 150, including back-to-back rounds of 75, in last Monday and Tuesday's tournament.
