Statesmen of the Week: Moses Magens and Bronwyn Brenneman

Statesmen of the Week: Moses Magens and Bronwyn Brenneman

Oskaloosa--Men's soccer player Moses Magens (Grad., Elmshorn, Germany, Master's of Sport Management) and women's wrestler Bronwyn Brenneman (Jr., Parnell, Iowa, Biology) have been named Statesmen of the Week for December 2-8, a laurel presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.

Magens delivered a clutch performance last Tuesday, netting two pivotal goals to propel the Statesmen past Bethel and into uncharted territory—their first-ever NAIA National Championship quarterfinal appearance. Magens then helped the team to their inaugural semifinals and finals appearances.

At the Doane Open last Saturday, Brenneman delivered an outstanding performance in a highly competitive 47-person bracket, finishing with an impressive 5-2 record. Her efforts included three technical falls and two pins, narrowly missing a spot on the podium.

In Oskaloosa's Penn Central Mall, Gardner-Collier Jewelry is your hometown jeweler and can help you celebrate any special occasion.
