Statesmen of the Week: LeQuan Washington and De'Avae Adderley

Oskaloosa--Men's basketball player LeQuan Washington (Jr., Chicago, Ill.) and women's indoor track and field athlete De'Avae Adderley (Sr., Nassau, Bahamas, Engineering Technology) have been named Statesmen of the Week for January 13-19, an honor presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.

Washington showcased his scoring prowess throughout the week, tallying a total of 43 points over three games. He recorded 15 points against Peru State last Monday. On Wednesday, he delivered an exceptional performance in an 81-74 victory over Mount Mercy, leading the team with 16 points and dominating the boards with eight rebounds. Washington capped off his week with a solid 12-point effort against Park last Saturday, continuing his streak of double-digit scoring.

Adderley led the Statesmen at the Nebraska Graduate Classic last Friday and Saturday. She competed in the 200-meter dash, securing a 30th-place finish with a time of 26.72, and the 60-meter dash, where she placed 32nd with a time of 8.14.
