Bio

Aleesha Rabedeaux is in her second year as Director of Athletics.

Rabedeaux was promoted from Associate Athletic Director after having served in that role for two years.  She had been the Senior Women's Leader for the previous four years after have been Assistant Athletic Director for two school campaigns prior to that.  Her experiences have encompassed oversight, business operations, onboarding and compliance, while overseeing 10 sports and spearheading streamlined processes within the department.

Rabedeaux came to WPU as Head Women's Volleyball Coach and served in that role for four seasons and owned an overall record of 66-55.  The team's 19 wins in her first season were the most in six years.  She led 13 players to all-Heart recognition, 27 to Heart Scholar-Athlete honors, and 47 to NAIA Scholar-Athlete laurels.

Prior to her time here, she was at Southwestern Community College in Creston where she served as head coach during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

While at Southwestern, Rabedeaux turned a struggling program around, taking the Spartans from 6-27 in her first year to 20-21 with her own recruits that fall.  She led three players to all-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference laurels and two to NJCAA all-Region XI honors in 2017.

Rabedeaux also served as both Director of Game Management and as a Residence Hall Director at Southwestern.

Rabedeaux has other prior coaching experience at the club level, co-founding and coaching the Illini Northwest Volleyball Club from 2013-2016.

Her collegiate career began at Roosevelt University as a two-sport athlete, also playing basketball.  Rabedeaux then transferred to Rock Valley Community College and was a starter and captain on the women’s basketball team that ended the season as national runners-up in 2013-2014.

Rabedeaux earned her Associate’s degree from Rock Valley in 2014 and then moved on to Upper Iowa University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in 2016.  Rabedeaux lives in Oskaloosa with her husband Beau and their daughter Bloem.
