Bio

CJ Rettig is in his first year as Director of Compliance and Athletic Director Coordinator, working in eligibility, compliance, student-athlete development, and various operations within the Athletic Department.

A 2023 graduate of William Penn University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Kinesiology and Education, he was a four-year starter for the men’s volleyball team. Rettig helped lead the team to its first-ever NAIA National Championship appearance in 2022. He was a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete as well.

Outside of volleyball, Rettig also served as the President of the Association of Student-Athletes, gave tours on campus as a Student Ambassador, and interned for Gameday Athletic Operations.

A native of Sierra Madre, Calif., Rettig is working on his Master’s of Sports Management degree at William Penn.
