Bio
Darin Fisher is in his first year as Head Women’s Golf Coach.
Fisher, who is also the Head Men’s Golf Coach, was the head boys and girls golf coach at Moravia High School from 2009-2023. While at the helm, he led six boys squads to districts and four girls teams to regionals.
Professionally, Fisher has spent most of his career as a Golf Professional, with his longest employment (2008-2023) coming at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake. He has also worked at Bos Landen, Willow Creek, The Amana Colonies, and Sedalia (Mo.) golf courses. He earned his PGA membership in 2007.
A graduate of Central College in 1997 with a degree in Business Management/Marketing, he was a Second-Team All-American in college.
Fisher has enjoyed a successful playing career, beginning with advancing to the PGA Tour’s Stage II Qualifying school in 2004. He has qualified for the PGA National Championship 11 times (made four cuts, best finish of 26th in 2021), while being a two-time John Deere Classic participant in 2017 and 2019.
Additionally, Fisher finished 24th in the PGA of America’s National Player of the Year rankings in 2018, while winning two Iowa PGA Section titles (2016, 2018). He has also claimed three Iowa PGA Match Play crowns, while taking home two Herman Sani Tournament victories.
Fisher is a current member of the Iowa PGA Board, serving as the Tournament Co-Chair.
