Howard Huerta is in his first year as a Graduate Assistant Football Coach, working with the defensive backs.

A 2025 graduate of William Penn with a degree in Business Management, Huerta was a four-year starter in football.  As a junior, he was named first-team all-Heart of America Athletic Conference and was an NAIA Third-Team All-American.  He also collected second-team all-Heart recognition as a senior.

Huerta excelled in the classroom as well, being named to the President’s List with a 3.90 GPA during his junior year.

A native of Acton, Calif., Huerta is a 2021 graduate of Saint Genevieve High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete and team leader.

Huerta is currently working on his Master’s of Sports Management degree at William Penn.
