Bio

Natasha Schmitter, ATC, LAT, is in her sixth year as an assistant in the Sports Medicine department. She works primarily with women’s volleyball, men’s wrestling, and men’s lacrosse.

Prior to her time at WPU, Schmitter worked at Graceland University from 2013-2016.  She then took time away from the profession and worked at Cambridge Investment Research from 2016-2019.

Schmitter graduated in 2010 from Western Illinois University with a degree in Kinesiology centered in Athletic Training. She has experience working in physical therapy clinics, high school outreach, and within an orthopedic surgeon’s office.

Schmitter has been Athletic Trainer Board Certified since 2010 and is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA).  She was also a member of the Career Advancement Committee for the Iowa Athletic Trainers Society from 2021-2023 and is currently on the Honors and Awards Committee for the IATS.

A native of Wayland, Iowa, Schmitter resides in Oskaloosa with her two daughters, Amelia and Jocelyn.
