Statesmen Earns Fourth Place at Dordt Invitational
Sioux Center--The William Penn competitive cheer team delivered a strong performance at the Dordt Invitational last Saturday, finishing fourth out of 10 teams.
The Statesmen scored 76.73 points in their routine, with Morningside taking first place with 82.7 points.
"I am proud of what this team put out on the mat this weekend. We had to rework the routine due to an injury, so under the adversity they faced, we did a great job," Head Coach Abby Reynolds said. "We had a few bobbles, but overall, they put on a show, and I'm looking forward to showing Statesmen Nation our routine this weekend at our home competition! Be ready!"
Next Up: The Statesmen will be back on their home turf Sunday to host the William Penn Invitational.
