Putzier Notches First NAIA POW Award of Season, Fourth of Career

Putzier Notches First NAIA POW Award of Season, Fourth of Career

Oskaloosa--Breck Putzier (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn., Exercise Science) put up big numbers to open the 2025 season and he was recognized nationally for it as he was named the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday.

Putzier garnered his fourth career national honor after guiding the Statesmen to two high-scoring affairs last week.

The senior started the season with eight goals and two assists last Monday against Michigan-Dearborn.  Additionally, he had five caused turnovers and four groundballs.

One day later, Putzier tallied one goal and five assists versus No. 10 Madonna, while also recording four groundballs and two caused turnovers.

As a team, William Penn scored 41 goals in its two contests.

For the year, Putzier has nine goals with seven assists for 16 total points.  He has tallied eight groundballs and a team-best seven caused turnovers as well.

The national award is the first of the year for WPU.
