Vinokur Named COY, Drake Takes Third ACOY Honor as All-Heart Awards Announced

Oskaloosa--Head Track and Field Coach Victoria Vinokur and Assistant Coach Caleb Drake guided the William Penn men's track and field team to a tremendous weekend and they were both recognized for their leadership as the Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its top awards from its indoor championships.

Vinokur was named Heart Men's Coach of the Year, while Drake, who is also WPU's cross country coach, claimed the Assistant COY award.  The Statesmen placed second in the team standings with 127 points, 51 of those coming in the middle distance and distance events.

It marks the fifth-consecutive time (third straight for Drake) that WPU has won the Men's ACOY award after the Heart Championship.

William Penn took home five total event crowns, including the triple jump, weight throw, 3,000-meter run, 4x800-meter relay, and distance medley relay.
