Oskaloosa--The Statesmen men's volleyball team wrapped up their regular season with a thrilling 3-0 victory over No. 7 Grand View in a Heart of America Athletic Conference rivalry matchup on Tuesday evening.

In the third and final set, William Penn took an early 7-5 lead, then exploded on a 7-1 run that pushed them to a commanding advantage. The Vikings briefly traded points, but the Statesmen finished strong, closing out the match with a 25-14 victory. William Penn's offensive power was on full display, hitting over .400 in the final set.

For the match, the Statesmen narrowly edged out Grand View in kills, 40-39, and posted a .322 hitting percentage compared to the Vikings' .137. The Statesmen also capitalized on their opponent's mistakes, committing only 12 attack errors to Grand View's 25.
