Statesmen to Enter Postseason in Receiving Votes Section

Oskaloosa--The William Penn men's volleyball team will head to postseason action as a darkhorse as the NAIA released its fifth top-15 poll Wednesday.

WPU (16-10, 13-6 Heart) is now one spot lower than it was in last week's rating, sitting unofficially 19th in the nation with 28 points.

Missouri Valley remains the leader of the Heart of America Athletic Conference programs with a ranking of No. 3.  A total of six Heart programs are ranked or receiving votes.  Missouri Baptist (No. 5), Park (No. 6), Grand View (No. 8), and Mount Mercy (No. 10) are also all in the top 10.

The Master's (Calif.) has been No. 1 all year and nothing changed in the fifth poll as it still has 233 points and all 13 first-place votes.  The rest of the top five is also the same with Saint Xavier (Ill.) in second and Lawrence Tech in fourth.

The Statesmen, who are seeded sixth for the Heart Championship, travel to Cedar Rapids Saturday to face No. 3 seed Mount Mercy in the quarterfinals at 2 p.m.
