Bio

Steven Sattz is his sixth year as Assistant Men’s Volleyball Coach.

Sattz served as a volunteer assistant his first three years before being elevated to an assistant in 2023.

Sattz brings a wealth of experience to the Statesmen bench, mostly from the high school and club levels, having previously coached at Tipton, Sigourney, and Pella High Schools, as well with the Pella Thunder club team.

Sattz has worked closely with Iowa Region Volleyball on its Board of Directors, while also spending time with the boys’ High Performance teams. He has served as a coach at the University of Wisconsin summer camp for three years as well.

A 2017 graduate of William Penn with a degree in K-12 Physical Education/Health, he also competed on the baseball team at WPU. He later received his Master’s of Business Leadership degree from William Penn in 2020. He is also currently working on his Master’s in Educational Leadership K-12 Principal.

Prior to William Penn, Sattz attended Jamestown CC and played baseball there as well.

A Pickering, Ontario native, Sattz currently resides in Oskaloosa with his wife Jamie and their two children, Steven Jr. and Kennedy.
