Beaver Notches Fourth-Straight POW Laurel

Oskaloosa---D'Artagnon Beaver (Sr., Rockford, Ill., Human Services) completed a perfect season in regards to awards on Monday as he once again claimed the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award, presented by BoxOut.

Beaver, who now has five career laurels, has raced four times this fall and has won the league accolade for each competition.  He helped William Penn to a solid 13th-place finish at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic last Saturday.

The senior placed 13th out of 339 total runners with a time of 24:52.8, just one second away from the school's 8K record.

Beaver continues to have the fastest time in the Heart this season, while nationally, he ranks 67th on the NAIA's performance list.

The award is the fourth for the program in 2024.
