Bio
Katie Crogan is in her second season as Assistant Softball Coach.
Crogan came to WPU after a serving as a graduate assistant coach at her alma mater, Upper Iowa University. During her lone season in that role, she helped guide the NCAA Division II Peacocks to a 17-26 overall record.
A 2021 graduate of Upper Iowa with a degree in Exercise Science, Crogan was an outstanding player. She holds school career records for hits (253), doubles (54), home runs (45), runs scored (141), and RBIs (203) and single-season records for batting average (.465), hits (73), home runs (17), RBIs (76), slugging percentage (.885), and on-base percentage (.543).
Crogan was a five-year starter for the Peacocks, earning an impressive list of recognition. At the conference level, she was a three-time honoree, including being named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year in 2022. Crogan also fielded well, collecting all-conference Gold Glove accolades in 2019.
Regionally, she was a two-time selection, headlined by a D2CCA Central Region Player of the Year laurel in 2022. A two-time All-American, she was a Second-Team pick in 2022 and an NFCA Division II Player of the Year Top-25 finalist.
Crogan also owns a Master’s of Sport Administration from Upper Iowa in 2023. She served as a graduate assistant in the strength and conditioning department from 2021-2023 as well.
