Kirstin Foster is in her fourth year as Head Women’s Bowling Coach.

In her tenure, Foster has guided the Statesmen to three NAIA National Championship appearances (third place in 2002) and one Heart of America Athletic Conference title (2024).  She has coached 10 all-Heart of America Athletic Conference performers, one NAIA All-American, one Heart Newcomer of the Year, 10 Heart Scholar-Athletes, and six NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Foster, a 2014 William Penn graduate with a degree in Secondary Education (endorsement in American History/Government), was a four-time letterwinner for the Statesmen. She ranks second all-time with 251 career games played and sixth with a career pin average of 181.4 (high game of 278).

Foster helped WPU to a pair of MCC titles, four USBC Sectional appearances, and one qualification to USBC Nationals.

She was also extremely involved on campus, serving as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (now called the Association of Student-Athletes) and Phi Alpha Theta, vice president of the Student Government Association, and treasurer of Lambda Delta Phi. Foster was WPU’s nominee for the NAIA’s Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character award as well.

She enjoyed a star-studded youth career, beginning with numerous titles in her home state of Michigan. She was named to the all-Michigan team and bowled the first perfect game in the association’s history. She owned the second-highest average in the state as well.

After graduating, Foster continued to be a force on the lanes, claiming multiple titles in the Utah State Bowling Association and Great Salt Lake Bowling Association. She was selected to the Great Salt Lake all-city team on four occasions and was a three-time Bowler of the Year. Foster, who broke the Utah state record for single-season average (235), earned other high finishes throughout the nation.

Foster is a USBC Silver Level-certified coach.

Foster and her husband Cameron, a fellow 2014 graduate of WPU, have one girl Taytum and one boy Lincoln. Cameron is the Head Men’s Bowling Coach at WPU.
