Oskaloosa--The Statesmen women's golf team's strong fall campaign has allowed it to remain on the national scene as the NAIA released its first poll Thursday.

William Penn picked up one spot from the preseason rating and now sits 31st in the NAIA with 25 points.

The Statesmen are one of two programs from within the Heart of America Athletic Conference in the poll as Park tops the league at #25.

Keiser (Fla.) again holds the top spot with 416 points and 11 first-place votes, while British Columbia stays in the runner-up position with the final five first-place ballots.  SCAD Savannah (Ga.), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), and Texas Wesleyan complete the nation's top five.

WPU closes out its fall season next Monday and Tuesday at the Heart Preview in Overland Park, Kan.  Play will be contested at Nicklaus Golf Course.
