Kolawole Honored by NAIA

Oskaloosa--Esther Kolawole (Fr., Akure, Nigeria, Kinesiology) parlayed a perfect weekend into national hardware she was named NAIA Women's Wrestler of the Week.

Kolawole becomes William Penn's second national recipient in as many weeks after she dominated en route to a title at the Grand View Open last Saturday.

The freshman 138-pounder went 5-0 at the Open with all five victories coming via technical fall.  She posted a 51-0 scoring advantage and took down two ranked foes for her championship.

Kolawole is now 10-0 this year with nine technical falls.

The award is the third for William Penn in its women's wrestling history.
