Second Heart Award Given to Ogunsanya

Oskaloosa--Another spotless performance by Christianah Ogunsanya (Fr., Akure, Nigeria, Kinesiology) netted her more league recognition as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week Monday, presented by Musco.

The freshman earned her second laurel after a perfect 6-0 week that included her running away with a title at the Baker Jimmy May Open last Saturday.

Ogunsanya started her week by pinning Grand View's Mayangelie Colon in a time of 1:38 last Tuesday.

She then posted a 5-0 record at the Baker Open, claiming five technical fall victories by a combined score of 50-0.  Her week was culminated by crushing No. 2-nationally ranked Camille Fournier of Texas Wesleyan 10-0 in the finals.  It is the second time Ogunsanya has beaten Fournier this year.

For the season, Ogunsanya is now 16-0 with 15 technical falls and one fall.

The award is the fourth for William Penn in 2024-2025.
