
Statesmen Preview League Championship Site at Seminole Valley Stampede
Cedar Rapids--The William Penn women's cross country team got a chance to check out the site of next month's conference meet as it ran at the Mount Mercy Seminole Valley Stampede Saturday.
WPU was unable to score as a squad, while NCAA Division II Lewis (Ill.) won the team standings with 66 points. Allison Ramsey of St. Francis (Ill.) led the 143-runner field on the 6K course in a time of 22:11.2.
Briana Admire (So., Galesburg, Ill., Biology) paced the navy and gold in 74th at 25:45, while Roselaure Fuller (Sr., Pella, Iowa, Nursing) was 95th at 27:16.5.
Morgan Taylor (Jr., Galesburg, Ill., Nursing) finished 117th overall with a time of 29:24, and Avery Waterhouse (So., Olds, Iowa, Nursing) wrapped up WPU's efforts at 29:42 to place 120th.
Next Up: William Penn takes a few weeks off before traveling to Ashland, Neb. on Saturday, October 26 to compete in the Flaming Tiger NAIA Classic.
