Nutrition
Achieving and maintaining a championship performance requires a championship diet. Research has shown the physical demands of a student-athlete's sport and training regimen, in addition to daily living, requires a diet that meets proper and specific requirements. The most frequent stumbling blocks of this process for student-athletes are the knowledge, understanding, and recognition of what and when to eat certain foods.
It is part of your responsibility to understand the connection between a nutritional diet and the type of performance you want to achieve. Daily nutrition is part of your body's recovery process; nutritional and fluid deficiencies will hinder your recovery, performance, mental awareness, and immune system. The nutritional information provided is a guide and will help you begin recognizing the Four Components of food.
